Networking events
Networking and the exchange of thoughts are the main principles of TANZ_TAUSCH. While they are an important element of festival formats such as the tanz.tausch – dance and performance festival in Cologne and the Nuremberg re:festival, TANZ_TAUSCH BW dedicated its first major event entirely to these two topics.
From November 25th till November 26th, 2022 the culture managers Anika Bendel and Laurence Nagel of TANZ_TAUSCH_BW organized a networking event called “Meet the scene BW”. Here, local choreographers and programers got the opportunity to present themselves and meet other programers as well as artists who live outside of Baden-Wurttemberg. Prior to several artists being able to show their work via showcases, a selection had taken place based on the applications to an open call.
Connections had been made in Baden-Wurttemberg, conversations had been started – those threads could be picked up again at another networking event. In January, the LOFFT – DAS THEATER hosted “Collaborations in dance” that added more perspectives and gave Saxon choreographers and organisations the chance to present themselves.
